The marks scored by candidates in JEE Advanced 2014 is given below. This is officially released Rank vs Marks lists by IIT, Kharagpur. Note that Exam was of total 360 marks. In both papers, all questions carried 3 marks for correct answer irrespective of the difficulty level. In paper1, there was no negative mark for wrong answers, whereas, in Paper-2, wrong answers carried -1 mark.Thus a candidate could have scored anything between 0 to 180 in Paper-1 and -60 to 180 in Paper-2. Thus, the total marks obtained by a candidate could have been anywhere between -90 to 360 with the minimum and maximum possible marks in each paper as -30 and 120.
The maximum marks scored in JEE (Advanced) – 2014 was 334 out of 360, that is 92.8% and the
minimum marks scored was -32. The average marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics were 25.02, 30.01 and 24.88. While the average marks in Physics is less by about 1 mark, there is substantial increase in average marks in Chemistry and Mathematics compared to 2013.

The maximum marks scored in JEE (Advanced) – 2014 was 334 out of 360, that is 92.8% and the
minimum marks scored was -32. The average marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics were 25.02, 30.01 and 24.88. While the average marks in Physics is less by about 1 mark, there is substantial increase in average marks in Chemistry and Mathematics compared to 2013.

- Twenty six candidates scored aggregate marks above or equal to 300.
- The maximum marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are 117, 111 and 117 respectively.
- No candidate could score full marks in any subject.
