The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) was established in 2005.The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) had been established by an Act No. XVIII . It was passed by J&K State Legislature and notified by the State Government, through Jammu & Kashmir Government Gazette dated: 11-11-2005. The functioning of university was started in November, 2005 and the teaching programme was started in July 2006.
