AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2016 Check Notification about Schedule & seat Allotment

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as an autonomous institution of national importance and defined its objectives and functions. By virtue of this Act, the Institute awards its own medical degrees and other academic distinctions. The degrees awarded by the Institute under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act are recognized medical qualifications for the purpose of the Indian Medical Council Act and notwithstanding anything contained therein, are deemed to be included in the first schedule of that Act, entitling the holders to the same privileges as those attached to the equivalent awards from the recognized Universities of India.

AIIMS has started the counselling for the qualified candidates of AIIMS MBBS. Candidates appearing in the open counselling get all the information related to open counselling here.

Process of Counseling 

1. Process of counseling will be exactly the same as done in 1st , 2nd and 3rd round of counseling.

2. Open round of counseling On 27th September, 2016  for MBS for 7 AIMS, first UR counseling will done and after UR counseling is over, OBC counseling will be done followed by SC/ST counseling.

3. If any OBC seat remain vacant after counseling for OBC seat, all vacant seats will be transferred to UR category and will be offered to UR candidates on merit.

4. In case of SC/ST counseling, if any SC seat(s) remain vacant, these will be transferred to ST seat and vise versa. Al SC/ST seats which vacant after such transfers will also be transferred to UR category and will be offered to UR candidates strictly on merit.

5. Thus, UR candidates will be called again in case any OBC, SC and ST seats remain vacant after counseling for these category is over in this round and all UR candidates should, therefore stay, back til it is announced that counseling is finally over.

6. THE CANDIDATES WHO ARE PURSUING ANY COURSE OR HAVE OPTED ANY SEATS IN ANY AIMS / ELSEWHERE ARE REQUIRED TO BRING PROOF OF THEIR RESIGNATION LETTER/SEATS SURRENDER LETTER IN ORIGINAL LETTER IN THE OPEN SELECTION OTHERWISE THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE SAME.

7. AT THE TIME OF COUNSELING CANDIDATES SHOULD BRING ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES ALONG WITH THEM AND ALSO ONE SET OF PHOTOCOPIES OF AL DOCUMENTS.

8. ALL THE CANDIDATES ALLOTTED SEATS MUST GIVE AN UNDERTAKING THAT THEY ARE NOT HOLDING SEAT IN ANY MEDICAL COLLEGE.

9. FAILURE TO BRING ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE RESIGNATION/SEAT SURRENDER LETTER AS APPLICABLE WILL MAKE CANDIDATE INELIGIBLE FOR ALLOTMENT OF SEAT IN THE COUNSELING.

10. The OBC candidates who could not produce valid Central Govt. Institution/Job certificate in the first three rounds of counseling and were declared not eligible will be allowed to appear in the counseling subject to production only of valid OBC certificate issued for Central Govt. Institutions/Job only. Failure to bring valid caste certificate shall make the candidates ineligible for the purpose of allotment of seat. No provisional allotment will be made. AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2016  First Round & Second Round

First round of counselling has been done. Second round of counselling will start in Aug. Candidates are advised to read all the instruction related to second round of counselling before going for second round.

Call Letter

AIIMS MBBS Counselling Call Letters are sent to candidates via speed post. Call letters can also be downlaoded from this link http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/.

Document Required at the time of Counselling

 Those called for AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2016 have to report at venue site at the time on the date as stated in the AIIMS MBBS Call Letter 2016 along with the following documents/certificates in original.

1. AIIMS MBBS Admit Card
2. Call Letter issued by AIIMS, New Delhi.
3. Proof of Date of Birth
4. Certificate/Mark sheet from the Board from which the candidate passed the 10+2
5. Migration certificate from the University/Board last attended the candidate.
6. Category Certificate (if applicable)
7. Current passport size photograph (front pose) 6 copies.
8. One set of self-attested copies of all the certificates.

Note:It is mandatory for all candidates to be physically present i.e in person for counseling on the day as given below. No request for authorized representative on behalf of the candidate is to be entertained.

 Third Round  Counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2016

1. For 3rd round of counselling, those candidates who were absent during second round of counselling on being called by the Counselling Committee will be treated as not eligible. Lists of eligible candidates in various categories will be uploaded on Institute website www.aiimsexams.org before 30 August 2016.

2. All candidates who are eligible should report for counselling at AIIMS, New Delhi on 05 and 06 September 2016 as per schedule given below at J.L. Auditorium at 8:30 AM along with one set of photocopies of certificates

3. The process of counselling will be exactly the same as adopted during previous counselling. On first day (5 Sep 2016) all candidates will be called as per their merit for General Category seats. On second day (6 Sep 2016) candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST category will be called as per their merit as done in the previous counselling.

Counselling Process  for all 7 AIIMS.

The following process will be adopted for counselling for all 7 AIIMS.

1. Process of counselling will be exactly the same as done in 1st, 2nd and 3rd round of counselling.
In the counseling process, the seats to be filled by open (UR) competition would be filled up first, wherein the candidates would be called for counseling based on merit alone irrespective of whether they belong to UR, SC, ST or OBC.

2. Next, reservation categories like SC/ST/OBC candidates will be counseled to fill up the seats remarked for them in their respective categories. During this process, if a candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC who had taken admission under open competition, opts for other institution of his/her choice for which he or she would be eligible as per the rules of reservation, the seat vacated by him or her in open (UR) competition shall be filled with a candidate from the same reservation category only, in order of merit.

3. In the counseling process, the seats to be filled by open (UR) competition would be filled up first, wherein the candidates should be called for counseling strictly by merit alone till the last unreserved seat is filled, irrespective of whether they belong to UR,SC, ST or OBC.

4. The counseling for reserved category seat (which will also be strictly by merit) would commence only after filling up of all the unreserved seats (i.e. open category seats).
If a meritorious reserved candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, who has taken an unreserved seat in any institution after attending the open merit counseling, subsequently exercises his/her option to join a different institute in the reserved category counseling, the seat so vacated by this candidate would be available to next meritorious candidate belonging to that particular reserved category only. In other words If SC/ST/OBC candidate gets a seat in any institution under the unreserved category and if he/she opts different institution under reserved category of his/her choice the resultant vacated unreserved seat shall be allotted to same category candidate in order of merit. i.e. The vacated seat of meritorious reserved category would be immediately added to the seats available under that reserved category in the institute he/she had opted during counseling for UR seat.

5. For allocation of seats, candidates are required to be present in person. Candidates will exercise their choice of the Institute when called during the counseling as per their rank in respective category. Choice thus made will be final.

6. Those candidates who opt for AIIMS, New Delhi and are allotted seat in AIIMS, New Delhi, will be required to report at 9:00 AM on 10th & 11th July, 2016 for medical Academic and admission formalities. These students are required to report for orientation program which will commence on 16th July 2016 and joining on this date is mandatory for all. They will also have to attend orientation programme from 3rd to 11 Aug 2016.

7. Those selected for AIIMS Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh would be guided by the help desk counter of respective AIIMS at the venue of counseling (i.e. Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi). The help desk will provide the details of the admission process in their respective AIIMS.

8. In case during the open selection, if any ST seat remains vacant (after calling all eligible candidates of ST category) then these vacant seats will be transferred to SC category and vice versa. Any SC/ST seats which remains vacant (after calling all eligible candidates of SC/ST category) shall be made available to the general category. Similarly, in case the OBC seats remains vacant after calling all eligible OBC candidates, then these vacant seats shall be made available to the general category candidates.

Inter se merit of two or more candidates in the same category obtaining equal total Percentile Scores in the competitive Entrance Examination will be determined in order of

1. Candidates obtaining higher in Biology in the Entrance Examination.
2. Candidates obtaining higher in Chemistry in the Entrance Examination.
3. Candidates obtaining higher in Physics in the Entrance Examination.
4. Candidates older in age to be preferred.

Provided

If he/she is not present or if present, fails to or refuses to take a seat in open category, he/she shall not be allowed for attending the counseling for reserved seats.
He/she cannot opt for institution under reservation, if he/she had already opted the same institution in open category.

Note : All reserved category candidates who qualify in the open (general) merit list (i.e. 4 times of the open category seats) shall necessarily attend the counseling for open category seats and shall exercise his/her option and then if, he/she desires to opt for a different institution in his/her respective reserved category, he/she may attend the counseling meant for that reserved category.
