IGKV CET 2016 – Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Notification for Admission

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, is an autonomous nonprofit, research and educational organization working for the up-liftment of farmer's livelihood of Chhattisgarh. Education, Research and Extension are the major activities coordinated through agriculture, veterinary, dairy and agricultural engineering faculties and Directorates of instruction, research and extension. Grant in aid is received from ICAR, State Government and international agencies.

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Krishak Nagar, Raipur has released notification from the eligible candidates for admission into Post Graduate programme through an Common Entrance Test (CET) for the academic year 2016-2017 in three faculties i.e. Agriculture, Horticulture and Agriculture Engineering. Candidates can fill their application online from the official website. Rs. 400/- for OBC of Chhattisgarh and Unreserved.

Rs. 100/- for SC/ST of Chhattisgarh.

Photograph Specification

Upload your recent passport size photograph (4.5 cm length x 3.5 cm width)
Photograph’s size should be between 30 kb to 50 kb.

Signature Specification

Upload your Signature as size of (2.5 cm length x 1.5 cm width).

Photograph’s size should be between 20 kb to 30 kb.

Only those students, who have passed 10+2 examination with mathematics, are eligible for admission.
MBA (Agri Business Management) B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.)/ B.Sc. (Agril.Engg.)/ B.E. (Agril.Engg.)/ B.Tech. (Mechanical Engg.)/ B.Sc. (Mechanical Engg.)/B.E. (Mechanical Engg.) from a recognized University under 10+2+4 system with 6.00 OGPA out of 10 point scale or 60% in marks system of examination or equivalent grade.
M.Sc. Forestry B.TB.Sc. Forestry /B.Sc. (Hon.) Forestry under 10+2+4 system; with minimum O.G.P.A. 6.00 out of 10 point scale or 60% in marks system of examination or equivalent grade are eligible for admission.
In case B.Sc. Forestry /B.Sc. (Hon.) Forestry candidates under 10+2+4 system are not available, the candidates with B.Sc. (Ag.)/B.Sc. (Horticulture) passed under 10+2+4 system with minimum O.G.P.A. of 6.00 out of 10 point scale or 60% in marks will be considered. However, B.Sc. (Ag.), B.Sc. (Horticulture) admitted to this course have to opt compulsory non credit deficiency courses of Forestry. The minimum duration of the degree programme will be of 2 years.

Admit Card

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya has released the Admit Card for candidates to appear in IGKV Common Entrance test. Candidates can download the same by entering “Registration No.” & “Date of Birth”. The direct link to download Admit card for CET 2016 is provided below for the sake of candidates.


Exam Centres

The CET for PG admissions in Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering Faculty will be held on 19 th June 2016 at the following venues.

Important Notice for Subject change and Conduction of 2nd & 3rd Counselling for PG admission during 2016-17 session

After 1st counselling held on 30-31 July 2016 and registration formalities, following seats are vacant. Therefore, as per the procedure, subject change and 2nd counseling are to be done. As per schedule, subject change would be on 16 July 2016 and 2nd counseling on 17 July 2016 as indicated above. The in-service candidates of IGKV and state government should also appear in the 2nd counseling on 17 Aug 2016 for which they need to fill the counseling form.

Reservations

1. For the reserved category (SC/ST) 5% relaxation will be given in minimum admission requirement (6.0 OGPA or 60% marks.). It means candidate of SC/ST category with minimum of 5.5 OGPA or 55% under 10+2+4 system can apply for CET.

2. The candidates seeking admission under reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) should belong to Chhattisgarh state only and they have to bring copy of permanent caste certificate and state domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh along with hard copy of online application form on the day of counseling.
