Jadavpur University has released notification from eligible candidates to admission in various PG Courses (ME / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.Arch courses) for the academic year 2016-17. Those candidates who are interested can apply for said courses as per the schedule date. Dates for counselling
1. Details of Counseling and Spot admission in PG Engineering & Technology 2016 has been released.
A candidate can apply for M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm ./M.Arch Courses 2016-17 online through official website http://admission.jdvu.ac.in as per schedule. Candidates have to submit separate application form for separate courses. Once a candidate takes admission in any course/course with specialization, his/her selection in all other courses will be automatically cancelled.
GATE qualified candidates : Eligible list of GATE qualified candidates for verification of documents has been displayed on the University website. Jadavpur University has released list of candidates under GATE Category to be called for verification of documents has been displayed on the University website on 18 May 2016. The list has been prepared on the basis of the GATE score (obtained out of 1000) and is limited to 4 times the number of seats under GATE/General, GATE/SC and GATE/ST categories. An eligible candidate is unable to print admit card through on-line system he/she may contact the Office of the Faculty Council of Engg. & Tech. at least 3 days before the respective date of admission test along with the print out of system generated online Application Form and applicant part of Pay -in Slip
For PG courses of Chemical Engg., Computer Sc. & Engg., Civil Engg., Control System Engg., Electronics & Tele. Comm. Engg., Metallurgical Engg., Electrical Engg., Food Tech. & Biochemical Engg., Instrumentation & Electronics Engg., Illumination Engg., Mechanical Engg., Automobile Engg., Material Engg., Pharmacy, Production Engg., Software Engg. (No Admission Test)
At least 1 year of relevant experience (for PG in Civil Engineering course minimum 2 (two) years relevant experience) after passing B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm./ M.Sc. degree and as on last date of online submission of application form , i.e., 13 May, 2016.
→ Admission Test – 50% weightage
→ Passed / Appeared / due to appeared candidate must submit their self-attested Xerox copies of all semester mark-sheets up to 7th semester (9th semester in case of Architecture) and GATE/GP Card through Scan at the time of submission of ONLINE Application and bring all Original Semester Marks-sheet and GATE/GPAT Card at the time of Verification of Documents / Admission Test.

Reservation of Seats for SC/ST categories have been m ade as per Government of India norm s. 3% PWD (Persons with disabilities) is reserved in Self-sponsored Category as a super numerary intake.

Due to holiday announced by the University as per State Government notification Revised Counseling and Spot admission for PG Engg./Tech./Pharmacy against vacant seats in different departments will be held on 14 Sep 2016 instead of 13 Sep 2016 at 10.30 a.m. sharply (Reporting Time) in Gandhi Bhavan, Jadavpur University, Main Campus

Counseling and Spot admission will be conducted against existing vacant seats (as indicated separately) will be conducted on 14 Sep 2016 in Gandhi Bhavan of Jadavpur university , Jadavpur campus. Reporting time to Gandhi Bhavan -10:30 am.The candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall after 1 pm under any circumstances. All the applicants (applied during the period from 20 April 2016 to 6 May 2016) including those who have taken admission in Jadavpur University, will be allowed to participate in the Counseling and Spot admission process. However, eligibility of all the candidates who will take part in Counseling and Spot admission process, will be verified from originals . Admission will be offered on the basis of merit among the candidates who will t ake part in this Counseling and Spot admission process only and available seats at the time of accepting offer at that particular moment. After that candidates will not be allowed to change the specialization/department once the admission offer is accepted during Counseling and Spot admission process, under any circumstances.

Thereafter, if vacancies exist, Self-Sponsored Category (C) candidates may be considered to fill up such vacancies. If vacancies exist in Sponsored Category (B), then vacancies will be filled by Self-Sponsored Category (C) only.
