APJEE 2016 – Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination

APJEE →  Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (APJEE 2016) for selection of candidates for admission in various technical/professional courses.
It is the Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination for Degree (PCB) and Diploma courses. APJEE 2016 is conducted by Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE) for the admission to Degree (PCB) and Diploma courses. Candidates who are interested for various technical & professional courses must appear for APJEE 2016.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read the eligibility criteria before filling up the  application form.
The children of Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST), children of Non-APST employees of the State Government, Central Government & central public undertakings serving in Arunachal Pradesh and all others residing in Arunachal Pradesh for the last 3 years or more and who have appeared/passed Class X/XII from any of the schools within Arunachal Pradesh are eligible to appear the APJEE.

Educational Qualification

The minimum academic qualifications for appearing the APJEE in the various courses was as follows.

• For Diploma Courses →  Passed or Appeared Class X or equivalent from a Govt. recognized Board.
• For Degree Courses →  Passed or Appeared Class XII or equivalent examination in science stream(Biology group) from a Govt. recognized Board/University.

Age Limit

The age limit for appearing the APJEE in the various courses was as follows.

For Diploma Courses → 15 to 18 years as on the date of admission in the particular institution to which the candidate may be nominated.

For Degree Courses → 17 to 21 years as on the date of admission in the particular institution to which the candidate may be nominated.

However the upper age limit of SC/ST candidates is relaxable by 3 (three) years.

Note → The age limits for examination and eligibility for admission will further be governed by the norms fixed by various statutory bodies like the Medical Council of India (MCI), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Dental Council of India, the Veterinary Council of India etc.

Categories Criteria
Category 1 All the APST candidates which also includes children of IAS/Central Govt./State Govt. employees belonging to AP
Category 2 Children of Non-APST State Government employees.
Children of employees of All India Services/ Central Government organization & Central Public Undertakings serving within the territory of Arunachal Pradesh.
All others, not included in any of the above categories with the condition that the candidate should have appeared/passed Class X/XII or equivalent from any of the schools within Arunachal Pradesh and his/her parent(s) should have been residing in Arunachal Pradesh for the last 3(three) years of more. Both the criteria should befulfilled.

Examination Pattern and Duration of Examination

Note
The question papers of the APJEE will be in English only.

All questions will be of Objective Type with multiple-choice answers.

Each question will carry four (4) marks for a correct response.

Negative marking – For each incorrect response to a question, one (1) mark will be deducted. There shall be no deduction for un-attempted question.

Exam Centre

•  Examination on the scheduled and notified dates shall be conducted at the various centres at Itanagar, Naharlagun and Nirjuli.

• Candidates should note the following general instructions.

1.  On the scheduled day of examination, candidate must report to the Examination Centre at least 30 minutes before commencement of the examination and occupy his/her seat at least 15 minutes before examination.

2. Candidate must bring his/her own Ball Point Pen and Admit Card only at the time of examination. No other items shall be allowed inside the Examination Hall.

3. The Admit Card must be produced on demand at the time of examination.

4.  At the time of examination, candidate shall be provided with an OMR Answer Sheet along with the Test Booklet.

8. Candidate should thoroughly read the instructions published in the Test Booklet before attempting any questions.

9. Candidate should answer by darkening the appropriate bubble (only one) in the OMR Answer sheet with Ball Point Pen as instructed in the Test Booklet and as explained in the sample given in the Information Brochure.

10. Possession of mobile phone, pager, calculator and other objectionable materials is not allowed inside the examination hall.

11. All the rules and regulations regarding behavior of candidates in the examination hall shall be same as that of CBSE and other Board examinations.

• Diploma CBSE prescribed syllabus for Classes IX and X.

• Degree CBSE prescribed syllabus for Classes Xi and XII.

• College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat

College of Horticulture and Forestry was established at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh on 7th Mar 2001 by the Central Agricultural University, Imphal under the Department of Agriculture Research & Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.

The institution imparts education in different branches of Horticulture and Forestry and its allied sciences through its 04 years Academic Programme in Horticulture and Forestry i.e. B.Sc (Horticulture)/ B.Sc. (Forestry)/ B. Sc. (Agriculture). The institute also aids to learning by Research Programme, Extension & Training Programme and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK).

• North East Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Itanagar

The North East Homeopathic Medical College is located at Vivek Vihar in Itanagar. The institution has been established by the Abo-Tani charitable Society and started functioning from the year 2001. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (Formerly Arunachal Pradesh University) and is recognized by Central Council of Homeopathy, New Delhi and approved by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. North East Homeopathic College offers degree in Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS). The duration of course is 5 ½ years, inclusive of one-year compulsory internship programme.

• Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Polytechnic, Itanagar

Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (Formerly Arunachal Pradesh Polytechnic) has been set up under the Technician Education Project-III of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India with the financial assistance from World Bank. It is located near Dera Natung Government College in Itanagar.

The institution started functioning from the academic year 2002-03 to generate skilled technicians suitable to the State’s Human Resource requirement by offering three year Diploma program mes.
