Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, is located in the city of Hyderabad. With a wide network of 206 study centers spread throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh, the University has for its motto "Education at Your Doorstep". The University, the first of its kind in the Country was brought into being through an act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature in August,1982. Dr. BRAOU follows a multi-media teaching-learning approach which broadly comprises self-learning print material, supported by audio, video lessons and regular broadcast of lessons through All India Radio.

Duration – It is a two years, four semesters, full-time, on-campus Master’s Programme.
Medium – The medium of instruction for the study and for examinations shall be English only.

Eligibility Criteria
The aspirants of Master’s Degree in Hospital and Health Care Management should possess a Bachelor’s Degree (in 10+2+3 form) in any discipline (Except Fine Arts and Oriental Languages) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks, (in case of reserved category candidates, 45% marks).

The counselling for admitting students into MBA (HHCM) Programme offered by Dr.BRAOU in collaboration with Apollo Institute of Health Care Management (AIHCM) for the academic year 2016-17 will be held at 10.30 a.m. on 14 Jul 2016 at Student Services Branch, Room No. 110, Dr. BRAOU, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – 33.
Candidates qualified in the Entrance Test (list appended) who are desirous of seeking admission are advised to come with a cash of Rs. 80,000/- (Rupees eighty thousand only) on Thursday i.e., 14 Jul 2016 at 10.30 am (sharp). Those who are getting admission have to produce a DD (which can be obtained from SBH Branch in Dr. BRAOU premises), and also the following original certificates along with two sets of attested Xerox copies:
1. S.S.C. or Equivalent Certificate for Date of Birth proof.
2. Inter or 12th class Certificate.
3. Transfer Certificate from College where studied and Migration Certificate from the University of study.
4. Caste Certificate in support of your claim for reservation of seat, if any
5. Provisional or Degree Certificate of qualifying examination.
6. Memorandum of Marks of qualifying examination. (50% in qualifying examination is must to become eligible. 5% relaxable in case of Reserved category candidates.
Admission Procedure
Candidates have to apply for admission and appear for an Entrance Test, followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview. The selection is based on the marks secured in entrance test, GD & PI, conducted by Dr. BRAOU. Qualifying mark in the entrance examination is 25% for General & B.C candidates. The entrance test paper is set for 100 marks, consisting of questions under sections (A) Test of reasoning, (B) Numerical ability, (C) English comprehension and usage, (D) Health and hospital knowledge, (E) Business Knowledge. The rules of reservations are applicable as per the university. The B.C. reservations are only to Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh candidates only.
The following certificates are to be submitted at the time of admission along with two sets of photocopies and necessary fees and 5 Passport size photographs
- S.S.C / 10th class certificate for name and age proof.
- Migration Certificate in case of candidates from other than Dr. BRAOU
- T.C. (Transfer Certificate i.e. college leaving certificate) from the college where the candidate studied last.
- Memoranda of Marks of the qualifying examination
- Provisional certificate or original degree certificate of the qualifying examination
- Latest caste certificate if the seat is under reservation category such as ST, SC, BC.
- Hall Ticket/Admit Card of 2016.
Fee Structure For Admission
The fee for convener quota seats is as follows First Year Fees Rs.70,000/- payable by DD at Dr. BRAOU. Rs.5,000/-Special fess and Rs.5,000/- refundable caution deposit for Library & Lab payable to the college. In case of Management Quota students Rs. 2,20,000 by DD payable to university and Rs. 5,000 + 5,000 to college.
Second Year every student has to pay Rs.50,000/- Tuition fees on or before 15th August.
Further, at the end of every semester, examination fees Rs. 800 or as notified by Dr. BRAOU has to be paid. The student is also advised to have at least one dress with Blazer, for formal occasions which may cost around Rs. 3,000/- and Rs. 800/- for Health Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance.
Seat Intake
Intake is limited to 60 seats in all, of which 20% Management Quota.
