The Tripura Medical College and Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital is situated at Hapania, West Tripura, which was once a small village and is about 7 KM away from Agartala. The area is now included under the Agartala Municipal Corporation. Initially, there was a State level Hospital here. Later, the State Government decided to establish a Medical College taking the said Hospital as Teaching Hospital and accordingly in the year 2005, on the approach of the State Government, the Global Educational Net (GENET) came forward and established a Medical College in PPP Model with intake capacity of 100 students in 1st year MBBS course with teaching hospital of 300 beds. The State Government provided GENET 25 acres of land and also allowed GENET to utilize existing State hospital as its teaching hospital.

Application Form
The Application Form attached with the information Brochure Cum Prospectus can also be downloaded from the Website of TMC & DT.BRAM Teaching Hospital (wwwtmc.nic.in). The downloaded Application Form shall accompany the A/c Payee Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 1,500/-{Rupees one thousand five hundred only) during submission of Application. Please ensure that the Demand Draft bears Code Number of issuing Bank. The candidate must write his/her name clearly on the back of the Demand draft.

Interested candidates can obtain the information Brochure Cum Prospectus along with the Application Form attached directly from the Office of the Principal, Tripura College of Nursing personally / through representative on all working days i.e from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm on payment of Rs.1,500/- {Rupees one thousand five hundred) only by A/C payee Demand Draft in favour of “Society for TMC&Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital”, Hapania, West Tripura, payable at Agartala through SBI or any other Nationalized Banks.
The dully filled in Application and Admit Card Forms along with the documents to be enclosed should reach the Office of the Principal, Tripura College of Nursing, Hapania, Agartala (PlN-799014) by Registered Post / Speed Post in person by the Scheduled date and time positively.
Self attested photocopies of the documents required to be enclosed with the Application
1. Proof of Indian Nationality/Permanent Resident Certificate.
2. Pass Certificate / Admit Card of the SSLC I Madhyamik Examination as proof of Age.
3. Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or any equivalent Examination from the recognized Board.
4. Admit Card of the H.S. (10+2) Examination.
5. ST/SC category certificate from the Competent Authority (where applicable).
6. Disability certificate of The Authorized Medical Board of State Government {where applicable}.
7. BPL Card copies (where applicable).
8. (1)One copy of the recent passport size photograph to be affixed on the Application Form and 1(one) copy recent passport size photograph to be affixed on the Admit Card and 1 (one) copy of the passport size photograph extra. {All photographs are to be printed bellow the name of the candidate and date taken in May I June 2016).
9. Nationalized Bank draft of Rs, 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) (in case of downloaded application form).
10. At the time of counselling on call after entrance exam result all of the above documents along with the mark sheet of the H. S. (10+2) Examination, are to be produced in original along, with one photocopy of each self attested.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Age limit not more than 25 years and not less than 17 years on 1st August of the year of Admission.
2. H,S (1 0+?) School Certificate Examination (12 yrs course).
3. Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) OR
4. Pre-Degree Examination (1 0+2) OR
5. An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University.
6. Minimum Marks:- Science with {Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum aggregate marks of 45% in PCBE (40% for STISC Students).
7. Candidate shall be medically Fit.

Counselling Procedure of B.Sc Nursing 2016
First Counseling
This is for information for all concerned that the 1st counseling for admission to the 1st year B.Sc. Nursing course, 2016-17 will be held on 11 & 13 July 2016 in the Tripura College of Nursing, Hapania, Agartala from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Candidates bearing under mentioned Roll numbers of Entrance Test (Held on 03 July 2016) as given category wise ranking position in order of merit are hereby called in the said counselling.
Distribution of seats : Total seats- 60 nos
Category wise seat reservation–
- Female- 45 (ST-14, SC-8, UR-23)
- Male -15 (ST-5, SC-2, UR-8)
The candidates must submit their written attendance between 11:00 am to 12:00 noon in the office of the Principal, Tripura College of Nursing on the scheduled date of counseling.
1. All documents as noted below in original along with 1(one) self-attested photocopy for each item should be brought at the time of counseling.
2. Pass certificate of SSLC/Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination as proof of age.
3. Mark sheet of H.S (10+2) or equivalent Exam from the recognized board.

Note:
For admission to 1st year B.Sc, (Nursing) Degree course with intake capacity of 60 (sixty) seats the Entrance Test used to be conducted in the month of July for the academic session of the year and the selection is based on merit of the exam result following State Government Reservation (ST & SC Category) Policy & 3% reservation for disabled candidates as per INC norms. In disability of loco-motor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing programme.
Second Counseling
2nd Counseling & Admission to 1st year B.Sc. Nursing Course 2016-17 under Tripura College of Nursing, Hapania, Agartala.
The 2nd counselling for admission to the 1st year B.Sc. Nursing course, 2016-17 will be held on 21st July, 2016 in the Tripura College of Nursing, Hapania, Agartala from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Selection Process
The selection of the candidates shall be strictly on the basis of merit. All candidates having admit card issued from the appropriate authority should appear for the Entrance Test (written exam) on the declare date, time and the venue. Entrance Test was conducted in English only and objective type. The distribution of marks and duration of the exam is as below. The question were of multiple choices for which an answer sheet was provided to mark the answer. The Syllabus was H.S. (10+2) or equivalent standard.
For determination of rank in the merit list where more than one candidates obtain equal marks in the Entrance Test, the method hereinafter shall be followed
1. Their comparative merit shall be determined on the basis of their results in the qualifying examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
2. In cases where candidates secure same total marks in the above subjects in qualifying examination also, their position in merit list shall be determined on the basis of total marks in above subjects other than English.
3. In case of equality of marks thereafter also the candidate who obtains higher marks in Biology shall be selected.
4. If in Biology also more than one candidates obtain same marks, the candidate who obtains higher marks in Chemistry shall get selection.
5. Again, equality of marks in Chemistry shall take the method to select the candidate who obtains higher marks in Physics.
