About University

The Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) was established by the 'Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010', for ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and other allied sciences and also to have uniformity in the various academic programmes in medical and allied subjects in the State of Kerala.

Admission And Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Sc
Candidate shall have passed the Pre-Degree examination of the Kerala University or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Kerala University with 50% marks in Science subjects
  • B.Pharm
Candidate has passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course of Educational Regulations 1991 under Pharmacy act 1948 from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year of examination.
  • BSMS
Candidate must have passed 10+2 standard with science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Governments and Education boards provided the students passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics,Chemistry, Biology and 50% in Biology separately.
  • BAMS
Candidate must have passed 10+2 standard with science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Governments and Education boards provided the students passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics,Chemistry, Biology and 50% in Biology separately.
  • M.B.B.S
Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum 50% marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology together and 50% in Biology/Biotechnology separately.For students belongs to socially and educationally backward classes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and in Biology and Biotechnology separately is relaxed to 45% instead of 50%.For students belongs to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, chemistry and biology/Biotechnology taken together is relaxed to 40%.
  • BPT
Candidate have passed higher secondary examination of the Board of higher secondary education, Kerala or equivalent with 50% Marks in biology separately and 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and biology together are eligible.
  • BDS
Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum 50% marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology together and 50% in Biology/Biotechnology separately.For students belongs to socially and educationally backward classes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and in Biology and Biotechnology separately is relaxed to 45% instead of 50%.For students belongs to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, chemistry and biology/Biotechnology taken together is relaxed to 40%.
  • BHMS
Candidate must have passed in 10+2  with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or examination recognized by the University.Candidate looking for admission in B.H.M.S. course must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Biology separately and not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination and also in English as a compulsory subject
  • M.Sc
Candidate must have passed in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons). Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing), with 55% marks, in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • MDS
Candidate must have BDS degree (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) approved by Dental College and University recognized by the Dental Council of India and KUHS.
