Application Form

The prospectus, along with application form can be obtained from Registrar Office, PIMS by the following methods:

On payment of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) as cash or Rs. 2000/- (Two Thousand only) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of the “Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Pondicherry.

Candidates can also be downloaded from the website www.pimsmmm.com and sent along with D.D.for Rs.2000/(Rupees Two Thousand Only) in favour of “Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Pondicherry.

Enclosure to be attached along with application form

1. SLC / 10 standard certificate
2. Proof of the date of birth
3. 10+2/ 12 standard certificate
4. Mark list of qualifying examination

Note: All photocopies of document should be attested by the gazetted officer / head of the institution where the student had studied.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates must be Citizens of India

2. A pass in Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/ Equivalent – 60% Marks in aggregate (50% for SC/OBC candidates). The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body  which shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects OR

3. The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 OR

4. B. Sc. examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology OR

5. Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects.

Age

 As per the MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997, section 4 (1) applicants  must have attained 17 years of age on as before 31st December 2015.

The following certificates has to be submitted in original at the time of admission

1. SLC / 10 standard certificate.
2. Proof of the date of birth.
3. 10+2 / 12 standard certificate.
4. Mark list of qualifying examination
5. Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from the institution last attended.
6. Certificate of good conduct from the institution last attended, preferably issued within six months.
7. Migration Certificate, if applicable.
8. TWO sets of photocopies of all the documents / certificates listed above. Ten passport size photographs of the candidate also has to be submitted.

Selection Process

 Admission will be based on the performance in Entrance Examination and also will be based on the rank list and subject to the Order of the Hon Supreme Court on NEET 2016.
