IBS Hyderabad, is a constituent of the Icfai Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), which was declared a deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The programs offered at IBS Hyderabad are: Two year full time MBA program and PhD program. IBS campuses are located at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. They offer two-year, full-time Management Programs to prepare the students and equip them for successful corporate careers. These campuses are independent professional institutions and are neither affiliated to nor are off-campus centres of any university.
IBS Aptitude test which is conducted in the month of December. Application Form & Registration for IBSAT 2016
Prior to filling the online application, please read the eligibility criterion given on the reverse of the voucher and also on the website www.ibsindia.org and gather the information needed to complete the process.
Note : Ensure you have a valid email address, telephone number and address before you apply. These should be valid throughout the admission process. Keep the marks sheets of X, XII, Graduation and any other professional qualification ready for calculating percentage of marks. The percentage obtained is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the Board/University/Institution from where you will be graduating.
Steps for IBSAT Application Form filling and submission
- Go to the above mention link or official website for start the registration process.
- Fill in personal details such as Name, DOB, Address, Email , and phone number.
- Make payment through credit card / debit card or net banking.
- You will receive a confirmation email shortly after making payment.
- You will receive the IBSAT bulletin at your address within a week.
Scheduling of test / IBSAT Test Slot Booking
- After the application form is submitted, you will now be required to book a test slot.
- Slot begin / scheduling for IBSAT will be done after form filling.
- Those who have appeared in CAT / GMAT must also enter their CAT / GMAT scores in this duration.
- IBSAT Scheduling – Enter the IBSAT Entrance Test Application Number in the box provided. Click submit after this, the Slot Booking Screen will open to permit the booking of slot for the test.
Documents required
During application form filling, no documents need to be provided. However, at the time of admission and briefing, you must have all the requisite documents. No hard copies need to be sent by post for the exam application.
Guidelines

3. Keep the marks sheets of X, XII, Graduation and any other professional qualification ready for calculating percentage of marks. The percentage obtained is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the board/university/institution from where you will be graduating.
4. If academic institutions offer grade point averages (GPA), they need to be converted into percentage score as per the conversion scheme of that institution. If an institution does not have a conversion scheme for GPA, the equivalence has to be calculated by dividing obtained Cumulative GPA (CGPA) by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying by 100.
Eligibility Criteria
It is important for the candidates to check the conditions of eligibility first before applying for the exam. All the conditions which are mandatory to be satisfied are summarized here, under the IBSAT Eligibility Criteria 2016.
2 year Management Program
1. Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.
2. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
3. Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2017.
4. Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2017. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2017.
5. Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2017 onward. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.
PhD Program
1. Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English and
Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 60% and above marks or
Post graduation (full-time)in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with 60% and above marks or
2. A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 60% and above marks.
3. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
4. Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one time sitting basis or on part time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.
5. Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2017.
6. Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2017 onward. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.
Admit Card / Hall Ticket
Admit Card of IBSAT 2016 will be released by the IBS. IBSAT 2016 will be conducted at various exam centre. Zone wise list of test centers will be released by IBS. Enter application number and date of birth to print the hall ticket for IBS Aptitude Test 2016. Link for download Admit card will be available shortly after completion of application form.
IBSAT 2016 Admit Card / Hall Ticket will be issued by the IBS.
How to Download IBSAT Admit Card?
The steps to be followed to schedule your slot for taking IBSAT.
Enter the IBSAT Entrance Test Application Number in the box provided. Click submit after this, the Slot Booking Screen will open to permit the booking of slot for the test.
Step-I
- Select city using the drop down box provided on the left side of the screen.
- Then select the test center from the drop down box provided below city drop down.
Step–II & Step–III
- Select the date and time of the Test from the radio buttons.
- Select either By Time or By Date.
- Select By Date displays a calendar allowing candidate to select the preferred test date and based on date selected, list of available slots are displayed to students.
- Select By Time provides the list of available time slots and depending on time slot selected by the candidate a calendar with available dates gets displayed
- The candidate can follow either way to book a date and time for the test.
Step–IV
Submit and wait till process is completed
Step–V
- Verify the details shown and if found correct press the “Confirm” button.
- Booking once confirmed cannot be cancelled.
Step–VI
- Click on the Print the Hall ticket (Admit Card) button for printing the Admit card.
- Print the hall ticket (Admit card) option is available on the screen.
- It is advised to print Hall ticket (Admit card) immediately to avoid problems. In the event of the printer not working, the candidate may print the admit card at later time.
Re-entering the IBSAT Scheduling System
If you have already completed filling the online application form and scheduling IBSAT test but want to get another copy of your application or a copy of your admit card, use the link www.ibsindia.org/ibsatlogin. You will need to enter the application number as Login ID and your Password.
Selection Process IBSAT 2016
The IBSAT 2016 Selection Process is written here for the student’s benefit. After clearing the entrance test, the candidates will be called for the GD and PI rounds. It comprises of three main stages or levels namely.

Admission Process IBSAT 2016
All the students who wish to pursue MBA/PGPM/Ph.D program have to appear for IBSAT-2016 scheduled in the month of December 2016. IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS Hyderabad.
IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
The students who are shortlisted based on IBSAT-2016 score will be called for selection process at IBS Hyderabad.
