The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. It has tried to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by offering high-quality teaching through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The University began by offering two academic programmes in 1987, i.e., Diploma in Management and Diploma in Distance Education, with a strength of 4,528 students.

IGNOU UG & PG Admission Jan 2016 – Indira Gandhi National Open University invites Application for Admission to its Distance Education Academic Programmes for the Academic Cycle commencing from January 2016. Candidates who are interested, to study through distance, IGNOU is the better place for them. IGNOU provides the various Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), Diploma & Certificate course. Candidates can take the admission according to their eligibility & Interest in the course provided by the IGNOU.

Candidate who want to take admission in IGNOU, Buy Prospectus from Regional Centre In person: Rs. 200/-, or ask By post from the address given below by sending a DD of Rs. 250/- in favor of IGNOU, New Delhi. It can be downloaded from the university website www.ignou.ac.in.

The Admission form can also be submitted online with effect from 21st October 2015 by creating a user ID and logging in at http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in or direct link provided below. The online system facilitates for instant issue of confirmation of form submission and online payment through net banking / debit card / credit card.
