The college has now expanded its wings and holds the proud privilege of conducting the courses of post Basic B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc in Nursing & Ph.D in Nursing. The 2 year M.Sc Nursing programme has been designed for experienced graduate nurses to develop higher competencies in professional nursing.
Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) is offering 2 years M.Sc programme through All Indian Entrance Test which was held on 26 Jun 2016. Application Form

A candidate seeking admission in the M.Sc (Nursing) course is required to download and fill his or her application form in all respect and send it to the MM University on before the last date of application. Before filling the downloaded application form candidates must ensure their eligibility and read the instruction carefully. Application form duly completed must be accompanied by one self-addressed stamped envelope (10 x 5) with postal stamps of Rs. 40/- affixed on the envelope.

 Instruction for Candidate Filling Application Form

1. Application Form should be filled-in in English only.

2. The candidates hall fill in the Application Form in his/her own handwriting in Block Letters written neatly and legibly with black ink within the prescribed boxes.

3. Overwriting / cutting /erasing in the Application Form may lead to rejection of the Application and should be avoided. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate.

4. The candidate should write his / her complete address in the Application Form for further correspondence. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she gives his /her correct address. The University or the College shall not be held responsible for any delay or loss of any document / correspondence in transit or for an incorrect address given by the applicant.

5. Candidates should write his /her name, father’s name and mother’s name in Capital Letters as given in his/her Matriculation / High School Certificate of the Board. Only one letter should be written in one box. One box should be left blank between each part of the name.

Document to Attached along with the Application form

1. Matriculation on equivalent Certificate (as proof of date of birth).

2. Certificate of Qualifying Examination.

3. Certificate of Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

4. Certificate of Work Experience.

5. Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal / social behavioral pattern of the candidate issued by the Institution last attend by him/her.

6. SC/ST Certificate having been issued not prior to 1.7.2015 for claiming relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility for admission to M.Sc Nursing.

7. Migration Certificate: In case the Migration Certificates is not readily available, it may be submitted within 15 days of admission failing which the concerned student will not be allied to attend the classes ans his admission will be cancelled without any further notice and without any refund of fee paid by him/her.

8. Admit Cards appended at the end of this Prospectus, duly filled in the triplicate with a ticket size photograph on each.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The proposed Entrance Test will be of an all India Character and candidates not only from Haryana but also from other states of the country as well as Foreign Nationals / NRIs are eligible to appear in this Entrance Test provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission to M.Sc Nursing course as per the rules and regulations of the Indian Nursing Council and the MM University.

2. The Candidates should fulfill the following minimum conditions to become eligible for admission to M.Sc Nursing course.

3. Should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

4. Passed B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc (Hons) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

5. Minimum one year of work experience after Post Basic / B.Sc Nursing as on 30.09.2016. OR

6. Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing as on 30.09.2016.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility conditions.

7. Candidate should be medically fit.

8. Selected Candidates for M.Sc Nursing must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Medical Board constituted / approved by the Principal, MM College of Nursing, Mullana. The candidature of a candidate found medically unfit is liable to be cancelled. The candidate who fails to attend the medical examination on the notified date shall forfeit the claim for admission as well as placement in the waiting list.

Note:

  • Admission to M. Sc. Nursing will be provisional subject to verification of eligibility and registration by the University.
  • The list of fake Universities is available in the Academic Branch of the University which may be consulted before making Application for admission to the course.

Scheme of Examination

  • Date of Entrance Test Timing – 26-06-2016 11.00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
  • Medium of Entrance Test – English

The Entrance Test will consist of one paper of 1 hour 30 minutes duration. There will be a total number of 120 objective Type Questions which will carry maximum of 360 marks i.e three marks for each question. The candidates will have to secure at least 50% qualifying marks in the Entrance Test to become eligible for appearing before the Counselling Board.

If two or more candidates secure identical marks in the entrance test, their relative merit will be determined by the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination. In case the marks in the qualifying examination are also identical, the candidate senior in age will get preference.

Syllabus 

The Entrance Test will be based on the syllabus of B.Sc. Nursing prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council. Areas included in the selection test are Applied, Physical and Biological Sciences, Nutrition, Social Science, Medical- Surgical, Obstetrical and Gynecological, Child Health, Mental Health and Community Health Nursing and Basic Concepts of Education, Administration, Research and Statistics.

The Annual Tuition Fee payable by the student for open seats is as under :


  • Tuition Fee – Rs. 1,25,000 p.a.
  • Development Fee – 25,000 p.a.

The Fee will have to be deposited at the time of Counselling. Student fund is charged @ Rs 2000 /- p.a. University charges will be extra as per University norms. One time refundable caution money is charged @ Rs 5000 /-. There will be an annual increase of 5% in the tuition fees.

Admission to 85% open seats of M. Sc. Nursing course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test.

Admission to 15% NRI seats will be advertised separately. The candidates for NRI seats are not required to appear in the Entrance Test.
