About University

University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore, a premier institution of agricultural education and research in the country, began as a small agricultural research farm in 1899.University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, an autonomous Institute was established on 6-6-1963. The UAS was inaugurated by Dr Zakir Hussain.The University was recognised as the best Agricultural University in the country for the year 2001 by the ICAR conferring the Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award for excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension.

Admission And Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Tech
Candidates should have passed the two-year Pre University College (PUC) of Karnataka or its equivalent with PCM and any other Science subject from a government recognized institution
  • B.Sc
Candidates should have passed the two years Pre University College (PUC) of Karnataka or its equivalent with PCB or any Science subject with a recognized board of education.
  • M.Sc
Candidate must have passed graduation in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agri. Biotech. / Forestry / Sericulture.
Candidate should studied under (10+2+4) years pattern with minimum CGPA of 2.25/4.00 for GC candidates and 2.00/4.00 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
  • M.Tech
Candidate must have passed graduation B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.)/ B.E.(Agri.)/ B.Tech. (Food Science & Technology).Candidate should studied under (10+2+4) years pattern with minimum CGPA of 2.25/4.00 for GC candidates and 2.00/4.00 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
  • MBM
Candidate must have passed graduation in Agriculture/ Agricultural Marketing & cooperation/ Horticulture/ Sericulture/Forestry/ Agricultural Biotechnology / B.Tech. (Food Science &Tech.)/B.Tech. (Agri.Engg.) /Veterinary&AnimalSciencesfromAgricultural/Horticultural/Veterinary Universities.Candidate should studied under (10+2+4) years pattern with minimum CGPA of 2.25/4.00 for GC candidates and 2.00/4.00 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
