JCECE 2016 – Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Details

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board was constituted under Section 85 of Bihar Re-Constituted Act, 2000 by the Govt. vide Memo No. 374 dated 29.03.2001. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. J.C.E.C.E.B. presently organizes the following entrance tests annually (depends upon the approval granted by the respective Departments of Govt. of Jharkhand for the respective session).Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is a self-financed, autonomous incorporated body of State Government. The Government has constituted the Member of Board for taking decisions on policy and organizational matters in light of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board Act. 2000.

Those candidates who are interested in appearing in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2016 (JCECE 2016) filled their application as per schedule in online/offline mode from official website jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Admit Card was available for download after the application process got over. Online Application

By accessing the “Online Application for J.C.E.C.E. – 2016” on the home page of the Board’s website i.e. http://iceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Before applying through ONLINE method, be ready with Marks Sheet of Intermediate / 10+2, Scanned images of Photo, Signature & Left hand thumb impression. Candidates can also fill their application from the direct link provided below.

ICR Application Form

By accessing the “Downloads” column from the home page of the Board’s website i.e. http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in, candidates can able to download the “ICR Application Form for JCECE – 2016”. Filled up Form along with DD/CHALLAN  of requisite amount as specified below must be sent to Board’s office address within the last date.

OMR Application Form

Application Form can be purchased from any Post Office. Filled-up Form must reach at Board’s office address within the last date. Candidate is required to attach a D.D./I.P.O. of Rs. 100 /- in case of selecting PCMB Group with Application Form.

Method for submitting the examination fee through ONLINE method

1. After submitting all the information examination fee can be remitted through Payment Gateway, in which facility of Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Bank Callahan will be given. Service charge will be borne by the candidate using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking. An extra Bank charge will be charged if examination fee will be remitted through Bank Callahan.

3. Candidate can remit their fee in the form of DD or Bank Callahan. Demand Draft must be issued in the name of “Controller of Examination, JCECEB” payable at Ranchi. Bank Callahan is also annexed with the Application Form. Examination fee through Bank Callahan can be deposited to any branches of United Bank of India or from any bank to Account of United Bank of India.

Notified on 11 May 2016 – If you have deposited the fee through on-line and the amount is deducted from your account but after logging with user id, still asking for payment, please pay again & proceed to complete the entire process. If payment will be successfully completed, you will get a confirmation page. Those payments which are unsuccessful at our server end will be refunded within 10-12 days.

Important Instruction for submitting the Application Form

Online

Candidates who are using the ONLINE method for applying J.C.E.C.E. – 2016, need not require to send the Application Form to Board Office. But, keep 3 or 4 printout of it for future reference.

ICR Application Form 

1. Candidates who are using this method should fill the Application Form and along with requisite DD /Bank Challan send it to Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Science & Technology Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum – Tupudana Road, Namkum, Ranchi – 834010 through Speed Post/Registered Post in such a manner that it should must reach Board’s office within the last date. Write “Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination – 2016” in Bold letter on the envelope containing the Application Form. Applications received after last date will not be considered under any circumstances.

2. Purchasing the OMR Application Form through Post Office – Candidates who are using this method should fill the Application Form (attach DD/IPO if require) and send it to Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Science & Technology Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum – Tupudana Road, Namkurn, Ranchi – 834010 through Speed Post or Registered Post in such a manner that it should must reach Board’s office within the last date . Residential Criteria

The applicant must be a citizen of India and Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. The policy determination for issuing Local Resident certificate for admission in Educational Institutes has been laid down in the notification Memo No. 5/vividh -09/2001(Domicile) Ka. 2691/Ranchi dated 29/4/02 of “Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department”, Govt. of Jharkhand. The Notification copy ts available on the home page of Board’s website under Downloads column. A candidate will have to submit/ show Permanent or Local Resident certificate in proper format in ORIGINAL at the time of counselling, issued by competent authority Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State) The Residential certificate issued by any other authority will not be considered and his / her claim will be refused.

Admit Card

The online Admit Card can be downloaded by accessing Admit Card column on the home page of the Board’s website i.e jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The Candidates are advised to download their online card from the Barod’s website only. Notice regarding Admit Card of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination – 2016

// Start of notice //

1. JCECE 2016 [PCB & PCMB Subject Group] will be conducted only at the different examination centres of Ranchi town.

2. All the applicants of JCECE 2016 can download their JCECE Admit Card 2016 from the Admit Card Column by choosing appropriate Examination Name and following the prescribed steps from the Board’s website http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in from 08.06.2016 onwards.

3. Admit card of JCECE 2016 contains Subject Group. In case of any discrepancy in the Subject Group, candidates must report to the Board’s office personally till 10.06.2016 with supporting documents and two passport size Photographs for required correction.

4. It contains the details of a candidate, such as name, father’s name, category, date of birth, photograph etc. If there is found any discrepancy in the entry made in the online admit card, candidates are required to send an application along with supporting proof directly to the office of the Controller of Examination, JCECE Board up to 17.06.2016 through speed post or can submit by hand also.

1. The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, SMQ, PH, Photograph, Date of Birth, Subject Group with Name and Address of JCECE 2016 Examination center allotted.

2. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should immediately inform the Board. In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded admit card. However will take necessary action to make correction in the record later.

3. Candidates must not mutilate the Admit card or change any entry made therein.

4. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Colleges/Institutes is over.

5. Candidates are advised to be in touch with the website of the Board for latest updates and information.

Exam Pattern

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination O.C.E.C.E.) – 2016 will be conducted on Sunday as per schedule. 

The subject-wise timing & duration of examination are as follows

Biology – 09:00 am to 10:00 am (1 hr)
Physics & Chemistry – 10:15 am to 12:15 pm (2 hr)
Mathematics – 12:30 pm to 1:300 pm (1 hr)

Scoring and Marking

1. Each question carries 1 mark. For each correct response the candidate will get 1 mark. For each incorrect response, 1/4 marks will be deducted from the total score. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for a question in the answer sheet. The candidates are advised not to attempt such question in answer sheet, if they are not sure of the correct response. More than one answer indicated a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.

2. For the purpose of evaluation, the Question Booklet code as printed in the OMR Answer Sheet on side-2 will be accepted as final.

Language of the Question Papers

1. Question Paper consists of both English and in Hindi language.

2. In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.

Exam Centres

1. List of district headquarters town where the J.C.E.C.E. – 2016 (PCM Group) will be conducted are Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dumka, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Bokaro. J.C.E.C.E. -2016 (PCB & PCMB Group) will be conducted only at Ranchi.

2. The Candidate should select Two Convenient town for the entrance Test.

3. Though every effort will be made to allot a center in one of the towns selected by the candidate, yet the Board reserves its discretion to allot a center other than the candidate’s choice.

4. Allotment of center is made by Computer and there is no human intervention.

Result

The Board conducted the J.C.E.C.E. – 2016 Examination, and announced JCECE Result 2016 after evaluation of the Answer Sheets It has been hosted on website http://jceccb.jharkhand.gov.in. There will be Combined Merit List along with Category-wise Merit List for all the candidates participating in the said examination.

Re-checking / Re-evaluation of Answer Sheets

The machine – gradable Answer Sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinized. There is no provision for re-checking/ re-evaluation of the answer sheets. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Merit List 

1. The Board will prepare the Combined Merit List as well as Category-wise Merit List of the appeared candidates in J.C.E.C.E. – 2016.

2. A list of the appeared candidates in order of merit based on the score obtained in the examination will be prepared by the Board and used for the purpose of allotment of seats.

1st Round of Counselling – PCM Group

After publication of Result, Candidates are now called for counselling as per Merit rank. Information regarding date of counselling, time and place are given through the leading daily news papers of Jharkhand State as well as Board’s website. In counselling, only after scrutiny of all the required original certificates/ documents and satisfying from identity, candidate shall be allowed to select Institute and Course/Stream on Merit-Cum-Choice at his/her Merit order.

2nd Round of Counseling – PCM Group

After the Allotment of Round 1, now, the candidates are called for the 2nd Counseling as per the Merit Rank for admission to B.Tech course. Candidates are requested to report at the counseling venue with all the necessary documents in original copies. Counselling Fee

1. Candidates of General/ BC (I / II) category who have been called for counselling, will have to submit Callahan / IPO of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 500 in case of SC/ST Category) to participate in the counselling. Detailed information will be provided through advertisement advertised for counselling.

2. Controller of Examination on behalf of the Board will conduct all works corresponding to the Examination and all decisions taken by him/her will be final and binding.

3. Neither any consideration will be done on any application regarding Institute and Branch change by the Head of concerned Institute nor any action will be taken against the decision of Controller of Examination after the end of admission process.

Document required at the Time of Counselling

1. Candidate called for counselling must have to produce original copies and self-attested photo copy of following certificates/documents at the time of counselling. A candidate can be debarred from allotment of Seat/Branch/Institute in case of not producing any one of the following ORIGINAL certificates/document.

2. Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate (Original / Provisional) of Matric / 10th / Equivalent Examination.

3. Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate (Original/ Provisional) of I.Sc. / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination.

4. Local Resident Certificate issued by S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State.

5. Caste Certificate issued by S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State (in case of taking the benefit of reservation). As per Memo no. 10007 dated 29.08.2013 of Deptt. Of Administrative, Personnel Reforms and Rajbhasha, GoJ, candidates belonging to BC – I & BC – II, have to submit/show the Caste certificate in which it should be mentioned that he does not come under Creamy Layer at the time of counselling. Those BC – I & BC – II Candidates, who does not belongs to Creamy Layer, can avail the benefit of reservation.

6. Income Certificate issued by S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State – who are claiming seat under TFW Quota.

7. One passport size photographs (made from the same negative of photograph uploaded at the time of filling up the online Application form).

8. Admit Card of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination – 2016 (if ADiIlT CARD is lost then copy of F.I.R. in this regard).

9. Dependency certificate issued by competent Army Officer (for serving Army Personnel/Officer) or Dependency certificate issued by District Soldier Board (for Ex-Servicemen) – who are claiming seat under SMQ Quota.

10. Discharge Certificate (if applicable) / Pension Book. – who are claiming seat under SMQ Quota.

11. Allotment of Branch & Institute of candidate will be done on the basis of Merit-cum Choice on simultaneous available vacant seats on his merit serial at the time of counselling. There is no any mark prescribed separately for counselling. There is no guarantee of admission of candidates included in the advertised merit list for counselling. Excess of candidates than available seats in every category/ quota is being called for counselling.

12. After completion of counselling the vacant seat details will be displayed on Board’s Website every day.
