Exam Analysis

1. CEED was held in two parts – Part A and B. Part A was a qualifying section with MCQ, MSQ, and NAT. Approximately top 10N (N being number of seats in participating institutes) in Part A will be evaluated for Part B.

2. Part A was of one (1) hour duration and Part B was of two (2) hours duration.

3. In Part A, apart from the multiple select questions, other questions had negative marking of 0.6 for incorrect answers.

4. The biggest issue faced in Part A was that some questions were quite complex and needed time for solving. Level of difficulty was tough.

5. In Part B, students were troubled by the fact that as many as 8 to 10 products had to be sketched.

Examination Pattern

• Part A

1. NAT questions were quite tough. According to most candidates the level of complexity was above average, though it was expected from an entrance exam of this scale where odds of getting a seat are low and competition is high.

2. MSQ type questions included questions on general knowledge of design, english language, quantitative aptitude.

3. Other questions were moderate to tough in terms of difficulty level. The only concern was lack of time in solving all the questions.
