D.A. Government Polytechnic, Ongole was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1982 and named the Polytechnic as DAMACHERLA ANJANEYULU GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC with three courses viz., Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. During the Academic year 2008, Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering has also been introduced. Now, the college is running 4 courses with an annual intake of 60 seats in each branch. From the Academic Year 2009-10, shift system have also been introduced sanctioning the seats in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering at 60 in each branch.
