About the University

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University is a public autonomous law University. Formerly, it was known by the name Andhra Pradesh University of Law (APUL). The law institute located at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2008 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (Act No. 32 of 2008). Its main campus is at Visakhapatnam and two centres, at Kadapa and Nizamabad. It has been conferred the status of a National Law University. It conducts teaching in law and allied disciplines along with practical training of the students in technical skills through Moot Courts, Seminars, Project Reports, Expert Lectures, work and Interns in law chambers.

Admission And Eligibility Criteria

Admission into 4 year LL.B., LL.M.

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
Age: As on 1st July- 2015, candidates should not be more than 25 years in case of General / BC and 27 years in case of SC / ST / Differently Abled Person.
Admission: Through Screening Test

4 Year LL.B., LL.M.(Dual Degree) Programme

Age: In case of General/ BC candidates should not be more than 25 years as on 1st July-2015, 27 years in case of SC / ST / Differently Abled Person.
The candidate should have passed under graduate course (10+2+3) or (10+2+4) in any discipline from a recognized University securing minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of reserved categories, i.e. SC/ST/Differently Abled Person). The candidates appeared/appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible subject to the condition that he/she should have passed with minimum prescribed marks at the time of counseling.
The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation / post graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission into the law courses.
The admission to the programme will be based on a screening test, group discussion and interview for students seeking admission under regular category only. The Screening test will be based on the following:
