The School of Open Learning [a part of the Campus of Open Learning] formerly known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, established under the University of Delhi in 1962, is a pioneer Institution in the field of Distance Education in India.The examination is also conducted by the University of Delhi. The University of Delhi confers the degree to the students of the School as it does in the case of its other constituent colleges. There is no differentiation in the course curriculum followed by the School of Open Learning and other constituent colleges and Departments of the University of Delhi.
Delhi University’s School of Open Learning admissions open from July for Undergraduate courses and expected in Aug for Postgraduate courses. DU SOL admission in UG courses commences in July 2016 and DU SOL Admission in PG courses commences in Aug (expected). The admission formalities include filling up the DU SOL application form, collecting admission ticket, and verification of documents.

How to apply for DU SOL UG Admission
- Candidates can chose to either fill the online application form or offline application form. (Offline facility is available only for PWD/ BPL/ NHE and FSR Students)
- No application fee charges have to be paid if the form is filled online.
- Application fee for offline forms is Rs. 100/- per student.

Important Note
- SC/ ST : Minimum passing marks in any one of the qualifying examinations.
- OBC : 10% of minimum eligibility marks prescribed for the General Category students.
- PWD : 5% relaxation in minimum eligibility marks prescribed for the General Category students.
- The Candidate should read the following instructions carefully before filling up the admission forms for M.A. and M.Com courses.
- Application for admission should be filled in by the applicant in his/her own handwriting in English only.
- The date of birth of the applicant entered in the application for admission must be the same as recorded in the Matriculation/Senior Secondary or equivalent examination certificate
- If the particulars furnished in the application form are found to be incorrect, defective or wrong, the applicant is liable for disciplinary action including removal from the rolls.
- The name and its spellings filled in the form for admission should be the same as given in the certificate of the last examination passed, i.e. B.A./B.Com./M.A. examination or an examination equivalent thereto.
- Subject offered for the course should be properly filled in column provided for the purpose.
- Information with regard to the marks obtained and the maximum marks of the last examination passed must be provided at the appropriate place in the admission form.
- The Enrollment Number allocated by the College/University is essential to fill in the appropriate place in the admission form.

For Online admission process scanned copy of all the essential documents listed below, as applicable, have to be uploaded at the time of registration:
1. Students passed from CBSE 2006 onward (Delhi Region) opted compulsory languages courses as English A or B/ Hindi A or B/Punjabi A/ Urdu A/ Tamil A of the B.Com and B.A. Programme have to upload following documents
- Recent Photograph and Signature
- Other educational documents will not be uploaded at the time of admission. However, on demand, it will be produced/uploaded as per requirement.
2. Students passed from CBSE 2016 (Delhi Region, opted compulsory languages courses as English-C/Hindi-C/Punjabi-B/Urdu-B/Tamil-B of the B.Com and B.A. Programme and student applying for B.Com(Hons.)Pol.Sci. have to uploaded following documents
- Recent Photograph and Signature
- Self Attested copy of Class-X Mark sheet.
- Self Attested copy of Class-Xll Mark sheet.
3. For Students from other than CBSE Boards, CBSE compartment cases and CBSE (Non-Delhi Region) have to upload the following documents
- Recent Photograph and Signature
- Self Attested copy of Class-X Certificate and Mark sheet.
- Self Attested copy of Class-Xll Certificate and Mark sheet. (current students can send scanned copy of the Provisional Certificate)
- Scanned copy of Migration Certificate ( if the candidates studied from boards other than Delhi like NIOS, UP,Bihar,Haryana, Rajasthan etc.)
4. Students applying against the reserved (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/etc.) and BPL category have to upload the following documents, as applicable, in addition to the above mentioned documents.
- Self Attested copy of Reverse Category Certificate of the candidates only, if applicable (SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc. candidates) certificate of the candidate must be have been issued before the date of admission.
- Self attested copy of Original Income Certificate, if applying for fee concession/Financial Assistance.
- Self attested copy of BPL/AAY Ration Card, if applying for Financial Assistance.
Important Notes
- The digital size of the file of the photographs must be more than 4 kb and less than 24 kb with resolution of 100 pixel width and 120 pixel height (.jpg format).
- The signature must be uploaded in jpg format. The digital size of the signature file must be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb with resolution of 40 pixel width by 60 pixel height (.jpg format)
- The digital size of the file other than Photograph and Signature (like 10th Marksheet, 12th Marksheet, 12th Certificate, etc) must be less than 2 MB(.pdf format)

For Off-line admission process all essential documents to be submitted at the time of submission of Admission Form are as follows
- Duly filled Admission Form & identity Card proforma.
- Two recent passport size photographs to be affixed one on the Application form and another on identity Card proforma.
- Self Attested photocopy of Class-X Certificate and Mark sheet.
- Self Attested photocopy of Class-XII Certificate and Mark sheet (current students can submit Original Provisional Certificate).
