KMAT 2016 Enrtrance Exam Details

KMAT 2016 was born out of the felt -need to have a single unified test for admissions in the State of Karnataka into professional courses viz MBA. PGDM and MCA. KMAT is conducted for admission to AICTE approved University affiliated Self-financing colleges in Karnataka. The test is permitted by Government of Karnataka and is monitored by the "Committee for overseeing the entrance test conducted by the association of private professional colleges" constituted by the government of Karnataka in accordance with Supreme Court judgment in case no. Appeal (Civil) 5041 of 2005.

Application Form KMAT (Sep) 2016 

KMAT Application Form 2016 is available online by KPPGCA. The following fields have to be filled in the form.

1. Name – Name of the candidate, as it appears in School Leaving Certificate.
2. Nativity – Select Karnataka or Non Karnataka. If you do not belong to Karnataka by birth or domicile, select the latter.
3. Date of birth – Enter DOB in the DD/MM/YYYY format.
4. Category – Select appropriately from GM, SC, ST, OBC, PH, NRI, Ex-Ser, Others.
5. Educational Qualification – Enter institution details and stream.
6. Address – Enter the address.
7. Test center – Select preferred city where you wish to take the test.

Instructions for KMAT application form 2016 submission

1. Visit the online form at kmatindia.com.

2. Enter your name exactly as it is mentioned in your school leaving certificate.

3. Tick the correct option against nativity. There are only two options of Karnataka or Non Karnataka. To be a Karnataka candidate, you must have domicile of the state.

4. Select your appropriate test centre. Please note that the centre must be selected wisely as the same cannot be changed once opted.

5. Select which course you are applying for, MBA or MCA or both.

6. Choose your gender in the form.

7. Enter your DOB. Please note that the DOB should be same as in your official documents such as class 10 certificate.

8. In the stream, select the stream where you have graduated.

9. Mention your complete postal address.

Instructions for filling the Application Form

1. Name : Write your Name as it appears in your School Leaving Certificate.

2. Nativity : Tick the appropriate option to confirm your nativity If you do not belong to Karnataka state by either Birth or Domicile, please tick the option – Non-Karnataka candidate.

3. Choice of Test Centre : Select your preferred test Centre city from the list of cities provided Kindly note that once the city has been selected changes will not be allowed.

4. Gender : Tick the appropriate gender.

5. Applying for : Tick the appropriate test for which you are appearing Failure to tick correctly will result in incorrect processing of your score.

6. Date of Birth : Enter your Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format in the space provided.

7. Stream : Tick against the stream in which you have obtained your graduation degree.

8. Address : Write your complete postal mailing address including your first name in CAPITAL LETTERS. Failure to write complete address might result in non-receipt of postal communication, if any.

9. Fees : DD should be made in favor of “KMAT 2016” and should be payable at Bangalore.

Eligibility Criteria

Entry requirements into professional courses like MBA/PGDM/MCA in Karnataka are followed as per the UGC guidelines.

MBA/ PGDM

Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidate). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.

MCA

Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.

Admit Card

Admit card for Karnataka Management Aptitude Test 2016 has been available for downloading after the completion of application process. Admit card is an essential document which contains Candidates Name, Roll number, Exam venue etc. and that is why candidates must carry their admit card to the examination centre to appear for the examination. Here are a few things to keep in mind regarding the KMAT exam

• KMAT 2016 is being conducted by KPPGCA, Karnataka Private Post Graduate College’s Association.
• The KMAT exam for MBA and MCA both have questions on Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability & Logical Reasoning.
• To appear in the KMAT Exam, carrying the KMAT 2016 Admit Card / KMAT 2016 Hall Ticket is important.

Instructions for candidates

• Check that all the details printed in the KMAT Admit Card 2016 are correct.
• Note the test timing and examination center.
• Calculator or mobile phones are not allowed in the venue. Carry required items only to the examination hall.
• Test center cannot be changed, the center printed in your hall ticket is final.
• Report to the test center at least one hour before the KMAT exam.
• If you miss the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test on the scheduled date, you are not eligible for a refund.

KMAT 2016 shall be expected to be held across the country in following centres : Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, New Delhi, Noida, Patna and Pune.
