'The Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences, first of its kind, was established in 1986 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, with Vijayawada as Headquarters.The University has been included in the list of universities maintained by UGC, and a committee has been constituted to assess the credibility of the university to receive central assistance, the report of which has been submitted to the UGC. As per the UGC guidelines, the university should have necessary facilities to provide for teaching, research and extension in in subjects related to medical and allied sciences which include Environmental sciences, Social and Behavioral sciences, Bio-engineering, Dental, Pharmaceutical sciences, Health manpower development, Health administration etc., keeping in view the health requirements of the state. However, the state government ensures continued provision of adequate recurring grants to the university for maintenance of the activities of teaching, research and extension.

Application Fee
The Registration fee is Rs.3,000/- + Bank charges, (Rs.2,700/- + Bank charges for SC/ST candidates) to be paid through online.
Verification Fee
In addition to the above, the candidates who studied BSc(Nursing) outside the state of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana are required to pay Rs.1,000/- towards Degree Verification fee.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The candidate should have passed B.Sc., (Nursing) /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Institution which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council to admission in M.Sc(N) copy with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST candidates.
2. Both the Service and Non-Service candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. For candidates belonging to SC and ST’s the maximum age limit shall be 48 years.
3. For Service Candidates – Should be a regular employee of the Government of AP as per regulation 2.1.2 (Medical & Health Services and Vaidya Vidhan Parishad) and shall have put in not less than 5 years of Service in the said Dept., in any capacity in Nursing as on 31-08-2016.
4. For Regular Candidates (non-service candidates) – Minimum one year of work experience after Registration of B.Sc., (Nsg.,) course as on 31-08-2016 and Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Registration of Post Basic B.Sc., (Nsg.,) courses on 31-08-2016.
5. The candidate shall be medically fit.
6. The candidates who qualified Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) from IGNOU through distance education are also eligible, if the study centre is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
Reservation
1. The eligible candidate shall download the Hall Ticket through online from 10.00 AM as per schedule from the website ntruhs.ap.nic.in by entering his/her Application Number and Date of Birth as (DD/MM/YYYY). Candidates can also download their Admit Card from the direct link will be provided here as per official announcement.

2. University is taking all precautions for issue of hall tickets to all eligible candidates. In case if any candidate who fulfilled all stipulated conditions and not able to download the hall ticket, such candidates are advised to meet the convener PG Admissions Committee I Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health sciences, Vijayawada at least one day before commencement of entrance test by submitting all particulars such as applications number, date of birth, Xerox copy of application and postal receipt etc., University will not be held responsible for complaints received through mail or any other mode or complaints received in any form after the entrance test is over.
3. Hall Ticket issued to the candidate is an important document. It should be preserved carefully until the admissions are closed. Hall Ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of hall ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification of the candidate.

Result of NTRUHS M.Sc Nursing 2016 – Announced
NTRUHS M.Sc Nursing Result 2016 has been declared. Candidates who have appeared in the examination held on 21 Sep 2016 can check their Result from. The list of provisionally successful candidates along with their marks, categories and ranks shall be notified in press and at the colleges and Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Office, Vijayawada.

The selected candidates shall join the institution concerned within the specified date along with the original certificates and documents required. No request shall be entertained for extension of time under any circumstances. Failure to join the course in time shall automatically result in cancellation of the seat.

The criteria for preparation of merit list of candidates shall be as follows:
- 1st Criteria – Marks obtained at the Entrance Test
- 2nd Criteria – Total percentage of marks obtained in B.Sc., (Nursing) course upto 2 decimal places
- 3rd Criteria – Age
Note: If the candidate fails to submit all the marks lists from 1st to final year B.Sc., (Nursing), the minimum passing marks shall be taken into consideration.
Counselling Procedure for NTRUHS M.Sc Nursing Entrance Test 2016
Separate Counselings for admissions into M.Sc. (Nursing) Course for the academic year 2016-17 will be conducted based on the common merit list and as per regulations for the colleges located in Andhra Pradesh by Dr. NTRUHS, Vijayawada and for the colleges located in Telangana by KNRUHS, Warangal. Counseling schedule for selection will be notified separately by the respective University.
1. The University shall constitute a Selection Committee.
2. The selections will be held at the venue and date as notified by the University.
3. The selection will be done course wise.
4. All the Qualified candidates at the M.Sc., (Nursing) Entrance Test 2016-17 may attend the counseling
The Selection Committee shall provisionally select the candidates as per these regulations from among the candidates who qualified in the entrance test and as per merit list.
5. The candidates shall submit their option for subjects of their choice in order of priority to the Selection Committee. The selection committee will select the candidates as per the Admission Regulations and Government Rules from among the candidates who physically present themselves and submitted their options. The list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed and the provisional selection intimations will be issued to the selected candidates. The selection will be made only from among the candidates who physically present themselves when their hall ticket numbers are called out in order of merit.
6. Claims of the candidates will not be considered if they are absent when called at the time of selection. If a candidate on merit is absent for selection when she is called, then next in the merit would be selected. The selected candidates shall submit their original certificates to the selection committee.
7. The candidates shall be called to appear before the Selection Committee one after another and they shall not enter the selection committee room in groups. Any person who obstructs the proceedings of the Selection Committee or otherwise misbehaves or causes disturbance at the selection committee meeting will be liable for disciplinary action as may be taken by the University.
8. The Selection Committee shall have power to review the provisional selection in case of any errors, misrepresentation, fraud or glaring injustice. In all matters relating to selections and admissions the decision of the selection committee shall be final and binding on the candidates and selections cannot be questioned after admissions are closed.
9. If a candidate after choosing the subject fails to pay fees or after paying the fees fails to submit the bond her selection stands cancelled automatically. If a candidate is absent at the first selection, she will be considered for selection at the subsequent selection in the available courses.
10. Vacancies will be filled by the selection Committee on the dates as per schedule.
11. After first selections if any vacancies ,will be open to all the candidates with merit order below the merit order of the candidate who vacated the seat for that speciality, in that area and also candidate who were absent in the earlier selection.
12. The provisional selection shall be subject to the condition that the candidates satisfy the Principal about the correctness of certificates given in the application form and also about the eligibility.
13. The selected candidates shall join the institution concerned within the specified date along-with the original certificates and documents required. Verification of Documents
1. The Principal of the respective Nursing College shall verify the authenticity of the documents. If satisfied shall direct the candidate to pay the fees etc., immediately.
2. All Original documents and declarations shall be preserved in the safe custody of the Principal of the respective Nursing colleges in order to facilitate any enquiry in future.
Fee Structure
Tuition Fee: All the candidates selected are required to pay the prescribed by the Government from time to time.
In respect of Private Nursing colleges the tuition fee is as given below as per HM & FW (K2) Dept., dt.25-11-2008 and as amended from time to time.
- Competent authority seats – Rs. 75,000/-
- Management Seats – Rs. 1,35,000/
Other constituent fee, special fee and caution money deposits etc., have to pay at the admission at college as per the respective college rules.
All the selected candidates shall pay the following fee either I n cash or in the form of crossed demand draft drawn on ANY NATIONALISED BANK in favor of Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawada along-with the bond. The fee once paid shall not are under any circumstances.
As per the University Notification vide 5280/AB/Acad/12 dt.18-5-2014, it is hereby notified that the students who acquired their UG Degree at outside the state or abroad, got their certificates registered by the concerned statutory bodies like, MCI, DCI, INC, CCIM, CCH etc., and seeking admission into PG courses notified by this University, shall pay a verification fee (Rs.5,000/- for degree certificates acquired abroad and Rs.1,000.- for the degrees acquired outside the state) while applying for admission to any PG courses as per the admission notification issued by Dr. NTRUHS, Vijayawada.
