About University

The Nitte Education Trust was born in 1979 . It was formally baptised on August 30, 1979. Justice K S Hegde, the founder was the prime mover of the Trust.In recognition of our excellence in education and service to the community, the MHRD conferred the status of Deemed-to-be University vide its notification No. F.9-13/2007-U.3(A), Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, (Department of Higher Education) dated 4th June, 2008.

Admission And Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed Graduation- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline obtained through the (10+2)+3 system from any of the recognised Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.All SC/ST candidates are eligible for the relaxation of 5%.

Candidate should have cleared class 10, class 12/ higher secondary Examination with English as one of the subjects. Minimum percentage of marks in class 12/ higher secondary Examination varies from institution to institution but is generally between 50% or 60%.

Candidate should have Passed (10+2) or Higher Senior Secondary Certificate Examination from the CBSE or from the equivalent examination of any state / ISC recognized to it.or Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.All SC/ST candidates are eligible for the relaxation of 5%.

Candidate should have Passed (10+2) or Higher Senior Secondary Certificate Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematis as a main subjects along with the other optional subject (if any) from the CBSE or from the equivalent examination of any state / ISC recognized to it Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate.

Candidate must have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology as optional subjects.Candidate should have English as one of the languages of study.Candidate should have at least 50% marks in aggregate of optional subjects.Candidate's age should be at least 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
