AIHM&CT → It has  announced  Bangalore details of AIHMCT Admission 2016 to the Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
The Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (AIHM&CT) was established in 1996 as a welfare measure under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), AG’s Branch, Army Headquarters, as a centre for excellence in education and building national character. The Institute aims at imparting high-quality hotel management education acceptable to International Hospitality Industry. The Institute is affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and NAAC Accredited.

Courses Details
 Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) is a four year degree programme. The BHM course is structured to provide a high level of professional education with training to meet the latest standards and trends in the Hospitality Industry.

 Requirement During Counselling

The shortlisted candidates required to report to AIHMCT on 14 – 15 June 2016 at 08: 30 hrs for personal counselling followed with documentation along with Parents. The shortlisted candidates called for counselling must bring the following certificates, in original along with “Certified True Copy” in quadruplicate (preferably photostat copies duly attested) and submit all the certificates to this Institute at the time of counselling and documentation for admission.

• Matriculation certificate of X standard or equivalent examination from a statutory board.

• Statement of Marks of XII standard and Passing certificate of XII standard or equivalent examinations from a statutory board.

• Eleventh Standard Marksheet.

• Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority. This certificate is mandatory as per Bangalore University regulations.

• Birth certificate, if date of birth is not given in sub serial 1 and 2 above.

• School/ Institute leaving certificate (after qualifying examination).

• Bonafide certificate from the School/ Institute last attended, mentioning the period of attendance.

• Character certificate of good moral character from last School/ Institute attended.

• Migration certificate, in case you have passed qualifying examination other than from Bangalore University.

• 6 copies of passport size photographs in shirt and tie.

• Valid Dependent Card issued to Children of Army person vide Army Order No 74 / 75, 120 / 80, should be produced on joining date.

• Serving Certificate or Discharge book and PPO of parents.

• Medical Certificate. A medical examination certificate with original ECG report duly attested by the RMO/MO of nearest MH will be brought by the student.

• Undertaking by Student & Parent is compulsory for Hostel.

• Undertaking by Student & Parents is Compulsory for Academics.

Note →  After having passed in the (10+2) examination, if there is any gap between the period of college/ Institute last attended and joining AIHM & CT Bangalore, you have to submit an affidavit, executed before a Magistrate on a stamp paper of requisite value, as applicable, stating that you have not joined any course of studies during the said period in any other statutory University/ Institute.

Eligibility criteria for  Admission

Admission to the AWES Professional Colleges is for children of eligible serving Army personnel, and retired and war widows of the Army. The children of the following categories of Army personnel are eligible and are required to submit the relevant certificates (as given against the category) as proof of their eligibility for admission to AWES Professional Colleges along with the AIHMCT 2016 Application Form.

1. Certificate Number 1 is applicable for the following.

2. Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years of continuous service in the Army.

3. Children of Ex – Army personnel granted/ awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/ invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension.

4. Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or released after ten years of service.

Certificate Number 2 is applicable for the following.

Adopted Child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission.
Step Children are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is other wise eligible.

Certificate Number 3 is applicable for the special cases.

 Admit Card

Admit card for the written admission test will be issued to all the applicants. This will be received by candidates by post by around 05 Apr 2016. In case of not receipt of AIHMCT admit card 2016, candidate must contact (080) 64546807/64543207.

Admission Test

The competitive Written Admission Test for AIHMCT admission 2016 will comprise of four parts containing objective questions to test the following. The duration of the Written Admission Test will be from 1430 hrs to 1730 hrs on scheduled date. Candidates to report at 1400 hrs.

• Reasoning and logical deduction
• Numerical ability and scientific aptitude.
• Command and test of English Language.
• General knowledge.

Selection Process for  Admission

Merit List  → 
The admission will be strictly on merit ranking based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Written Admission Test.

Relative Merit in case of equal marks
→  In case of candidates securing equal marks, their relative merit will be reassessed inter-se on the basis of securing higher aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, ie, 10+2 or its equivalent which will be given first preference. In case 10+2 or its equivalent marks has not been produced, the 10th std marks will be taken to reassess the merit.

Counselling Details 

On the basis of performance in the WAT, candidates will be called for counselling at AIHM&CT, Bangalore. The final selection will be based on the performance in the Written Admission Test followed by personal interview. The first 60 merit listed candidates will be offered admission. The decision of the Managing Committee in the selection of the candidates will be final.
